There are certain singers that just have the ability to entertain and it doesn’t matter what they are singing, it is going to keep anyone who is listening interested. It often has to do with the quality of their voice and perhaps even their unique singing style. One of the singers who is able to do so is John legend, and I think that he lives up to his last name when he is singing the song that you see in the video below. It is in any song that he is singing, however, it is perhaps one of the most inspirational songs that have come our way in many years. It is “Bridge over Troubled Water” and when you hear him singing it, you are sure to be touched to the heart.
The original Bridge over Troubled Water was played by Simon and Garfunkel and I think that most people would agree that there is never going to be anybody who does it quite like that duo. In fact, it seems like almost every song that they perform together was an instantaneous hit because they just put so much into it. John legend also puts a lot into the song and he may not be Simon and Garfunkel, but he does give it something that he truly deserves. It’s a lot of emotion and he does it so well that I’m sure many in the audience that evening were brought to tears. It just seems like the combination of his performance and the words was absolutely incredible.
There are always going to be covers of Bridge over Troubled Waters, some of which come from professionals and others that may come from amateurs. When it is done properly, it can motivate you to great things because it makes you feel as if you aren’t alone.
I’m sure that John legend will go on to sing many other songs but this song, which he performed in 2013, is surely one for the records.
