There is an undeniable amount of talent in the world around us. We see it in almost all areas of life and at times, we might begin to wonder why someone who displays that talent isn’t recognized for it. Of course, we do know that most of those people who can sing, dance, or perform in any other way are recognized by their family and close friends but it is doubtful that they will ever have thousands of fans that are just waiting for the next time they are going to perform. Why is it that some of those talented people are famous and others aren’t?
For one thing, it isn’t always about your ability to perform, it is also about your ability to market yourself. When you see some of the more famous singers today, such as Ed Sheeran or Kelly Clarkson, there is no denying that they have a lot of talent. In order for them to get where they are today, however, they also had to put in a lot of work and, at times, to be in the right place at the right time. For Kelly Clarkson, that time came when she was on a talent show and for Ed Sheeran, it was being in the right place at the right time. There are others who have their moment in the sun, including one winner from The Voice USA in 2015.
Jordan Smith realized that he had a special talent and he wasn’t afraid to use it. In fact, he stood in front of the judges and performed a Queen classic that would help to propel him over the top. By the time he was finished, the judges were blown away and they knew that they were seeing something great in front of them.
What Jordan did was to sing ‘Somebody to Love’ but he did more than sing it, he made it come to life. Now, I’ll be the first one to admit that there is never going to be a replacement for Freddie Mercury but this guy did that song justice. Watch it for yourself in the following video.
