There are some musicians and bands that come and go very quickly but others tend to stick around for years. I’m sure that you can name at least a few bands that were ‘one-hit wonders’ and they disappeared so quickly from the scene that sometimes, we even wonder if they were famous in the first place. Other bands, however, played music decades ago that was absolutely incredible and it seems as if everything they put out was going to go to number one. The funny thing about those bands is the fact that they are still playing on the radio today and at times, they are still entertaining us at a live concert.
For those of you who are old enough to remember the time when Aerosmith was first touring and putting out albums, you remember some of the incredible music that they sang. It included songs like “Sweet Emotion”, and “Dream on”. We knew all of those songs by heart but the funny thing is, people today know them by heart as well. The new generation even considers them to be “their songs” but those of us who are a little bit older recognize that they were part of our generation. Interestingly, Aerosmith continues to entertain today.
In 1997, Aerosmith was visiting the Howard Stern show. Steven Tyler is one of those individuals that is well known today because of his unique personality, kindness and many of the viral videos that feature him and what he does. Back in 1997, he was not so viral, but he was still well known and still an interesting individual.
They played an acoustic version of ‘Pink’ in the studio for Howard Stern that day over two decades ago. It was an incredible demonstration of their musical abilities and we loved hearing it. I’m sure that you will enjoy hearing it in the video below as well.
