It seems as if the news out of Hollywood is always the same, somebody is falling in love with somebody else and they get married. Unfortunately, there is also something else that typically goes along with it, and that’s the fact that Hollywood marriages do not usually last all that long. In fact, there are many times when the press may start trying to guess when the couple will get divorced, shortly after they get married. It’s a problem in society in general, but it seems to be an even bigger issue in Hollywood.
That is where Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson come in. 32 years ago, they got married and people may have been wondering if they were going to make it through the rough spots that inevitably always go along with any marriage, celebrity or not. It’s hard to believe that it was on April 30, 1988, when they tied the knot, and now that 32 years have passed, they are still going strong. In fact, they are looked at by many people as being an example of what a Hollywood marriage should really look like.
Like many married couples, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson have children together. Those children are a son, Chet, who is 29 years old, and Truman, who is 24. Tom also has two other children from a previous relationship.
The two of them are celebrating their anniversary, and they are also celebrating the fact that they have been through a number of trials over the years. This includes the most recent trial, when Tom Hanks came down with the coronavirus in Australia. Fortunately, he is doing well.
It’s amazing when we see a true Hollywood love story like this. Here’s wishing and hoping that they have 32 more years ahead of them.
