20 Deeply Profound Shower Thoughts That Will Give You A Whole New Perspective on Life

A couple of years ago, I joined a subreddit group called “Shower Thoughts (r/showerthoughts) and you know how sometimes when you’re taking a shower, you can come up with some of the most profound thoughts? Well, in the subreddit they call these thoughts “miniature epiphanies that highlight the oddities within the familiar.”

And believe it or not, there is actually a bit of science behind the concept of shower thoughts. Apparently, creative thinking is triggered by a couple of key factors,  which include:

  1. Dopamine is released into the brain when you’re in the shower.
  2. Our minds are relaxed and that’s conducive to creative thinking and making insightful connections.
  3. We’re mentally distracted in the shower, so our subconscious minds can work out problems more creatively.

It seems maybe we should be taking our shower thoughts a bit more seriously? Who knows, maybe your next shower thought could change your life? Below are 2o of the best shower thoughts from Reddit.
