For most of us who are married, we said some types of vows at our weddings that included the phrases “sickness and health,” “richer or poorer,” and “better or worse.” A person’s wedding day is often the best day of his or her life, and the last thing on anyone’s mind is whether or not they will actually ever have to experience all of those low points in life. We know that there will always be good times and bad times, but on our wedding day, it’s a happy day. My wedding day was the best day of my life, with no competition from any other days. A woman’s husband had been slipping in and out of a coma for several months, yet she had stayed by his bedside every single day.
One day, when he came to, he motioned for her to come nearer.
As she sat by him, he whispered, eyes full of tears;
“ You know what? You have been with me all through the bad times.
When I got fired, you were there to support me
When my business failed, you were there.
When I got shot, you were by my side.
When we lost the house, you stayed right here.
