Exhausted Firefighters Battle California Wildfires While Image Resurfaces Online Telling The Tale

If you have been watching the news at all lately, you have seen information about the California wildfires. They have taken place a lot in recent months and years but the latest bout of California wildfires have been especially deadly. Well over 40 individuals have lost their lives and hundreds are still missing. There are also thousands of people that were left homeless and had lost everything in the process.

The wildfires are so disastrous that Donald Trump has even declared it officially as a major disaster. Unfortunately, it may help out in the long run to have the financing but the worst part is not over yet. Approximately 30% of the fires have been contained but that is a very small amount. The other 70% continue to be a serious threat for anyone who happens to be in their path.

Families are scrambling to flee the area with all of their belongings that they can carry on their back. There are a few people who are left behind, often running right into danger.

The people that we are talking about are firefighters and they continue to do what they can to limit how much devastation is caused by the fires. As you can imagine, this isn’t the first time that they have had to tackle wildfires on this large of a scale. Considering how dangerous things are right now, however, it’s a good idea for all of us to remember them and the courage that they show.

It is from the Kern County Fire Department and they shared a picture of firefighters who were on the brink of exhaustion and were sleeping on the ground. They were taking a well needed break when fighting California wildfires last December. This picture has gone viral.
