When was the last time you took the opportunity to visit your grandparents? It is one of those moments that is not only good for them, it is good for us as well. It is also something that we don’t have the opportunity to do for our entire life so we might want to take advantage of it while we have the chance to do so. It seems as if Jason Momoa understands and he even decided to visit his grandma, even though he is a very busy celebrity.
When he visited his grandma, he did more than just say hello, he managed to get a video with him and his Uma. When he shared the video online, it absolutely went viral and you will see why below. Momoa admits that he is a ‘grandma’s boy’ and he shares pictures of himself with his grandmother on Facebook from time to time.
Momoa was raised in Iowa and his grandmother, Mabel, still lives there. He has a very strong connection to her and he took time out of his busy schedule to pay her a visit.
She lives in a care home in Iowa and he took a video and uploaded it to Facebook. His mother, Coni was tagged on the video and the camera caught some absolutely adorable moments between the two of them.
“You should have seen me [after I was in a car accident],” Coni joked. “I came jumping out of this car like a chicken with my head cut off.”
“I know where I get my driving skills from,” Momoa teased. “You drive fast, you know that right?”
“You’re the king of the u-turns,” she fired back.
He brought a big smile to his grandmother’s face at the care home. He even took her wheelchair for a spin before he pushed her through the halls. They had some quiet moments together and sat to enjoy the sunshine coming in through the windows.
All Momoa had to say as he sat close to his grandmother is “it’s perfect.”
The video shows a look into his life that he isn’t often willing to share.
“This is where I was raised, these cornfields,” he told the camera. “This is America. This is part of America. It feels like home to me. Well, it is home.”
He even took a video of a detour that he made to stop at one of his local breakfast haunts. It was the Waveland Café and he had a wonderful plate of hashbrowns. I guess you can get away with eating some carbs when you look like him.
He also took quite a few selfies while he was on the trip. It was a little bit of indulgence after the film that he just starred in crossed the $1 billion mark.
