Next Generation Gerber Baby Just Turned 2 Years Old And The Photos Are Adorable

There is something that most of us recognize about children but it seems to have gotten worse in recent years. Kids are picky eaters and although there may be some that will eat anything that is put in front of them, others are going to turn their nose up at something that just isn’t to their liking. From the time the children are little babies, it can be a challenge to find exactly what they want to eat and sometimes, we just need to avoid the strained carrots and peas.

Providing our children with quality food is an ongoing project for many parents. Thankfully, they don’t have to do it on their own. Companies, such as Gerber, are out there to help provide the quality food products that our children will not only grow on, they will love eating. Since they got their start in 1928, the Gerber baby food brand has become one of the most recognized brands out of any product. Perhaps it is the sketch of the baby’s face that is most recognized.

Although they came from rather humble beginnings, they haven’t forgot those beginnings now that the years have passed. Recently, the company started holding contests to search for the baby spokesperson that would replace the original baby from the early 1900s. The first contest was held in 1931 and that is when Ann Turner was chosen for the Gerber brand.

Obviously, Ann Turner has really grown since that time and there have been thousands of other babies who entered into the contest on an annual basis. All of those babies are adorable but in 2017, Gerber seems to topped itself.

They chose Lucas Warren as the 2018 Gerber’s baby and everybody’s heart has absolutely melted.

Lucas is the first Gerber baby spokesperson with Down syndrome. He really changed things for the company and opened doors for babies that never really quite fit into the Gerber mold.

Lucas has now turned two and in celebration, he and his family were invited to Gerber Farms in Michigan. They held a party in the babies honor.

“We’re thrilled to have made the trip from Georgia to Michigan to celebrate Lucas‘ second birthday at Gerber’s farms,” his parents, Cortney and Jason Warren, said.

The celebration was quite nice and included fresh produce, seed planting and a wonderful cake.

“Our family is thankful to be a part of the Gerber family and Lucas’ second birthday party is a day we’ll cherish forever,” the Warrens shared.

We are so happy that Lucas was named the spokesbaby of the year. This kid just keeps getting cuter.
