We are all going to face difficulties in life but perhaps one that we all face at some point or another is a problem with bullies. Many people consider this to be a problem that is only confined to the schoolyard but studies have shown that bullies exist in our lives even when we get older. They can be a part of the workplace or perhaps even a part of our home. Although it can be difficult to live with a bully in your life, having somebody who is supportive can be a huge help.
This video shows the importance of being supportive when somebody is being bullied. If you have somebody in your life that is experiencing a difficulty like this, a gesture on your part can really make all of the difference in them getting through the problem or caving into it. That is what this father decided to do. He saw that his daughter was having problems because she chose to be different and he stepped up to the plate in a way that a good father does.
This father did something for the support of his daughter and he actually ended up inspiring many people in the process. In fact, he was featured in an ad that was aired by the German home improvement chain, Hornbach. In the commercial, the teenage girl is dressed all in black and everybody is making fun of her because she chooses to be Gothic.
Her dad dropped her off at school that morning and she has to endure the relentless bullying all day long. It happens in the class, between classes, and at every opportunity.
She is left out of activities and a frog is even thrown on her desk at one point. After getting through the difficult day at school, she comes home and sees what her father spent the day doing. He painted everything on the property from the fence and walkway to the exterior of their house completely black. He made a statement that she will never forget.
