Most of us are staying at home these days, doing our best to try to stay safe in the middle of the pandemic. It doesn’t mean, however, that we don’t have a desire to get out and see what is taking place on the outside. There may even be times when we are able to get out, although we sincerely hope that everybody is being as safe as possible. On the outside world, things are quite what they were just a few months ago and there are some things that may be quite different. Many of them involve the need to gather together in crowds, and there may be times when we miss those opportunities to see the crowd mentality in action.
One of the interesting things that was happening a few years ago was that flash mobs were appearing almost everywhere. Perhaps you even had an opportunity to see one or better yet, even to take part in such an impromptu dance session. Of course, not everybody had that chance and some of us may have desired to be in the middle of something like that when it happened. As a way to look back on those days and to remember all the fun that surrounded those special events, we want to look at one particular flash mob that was beyond belief.
It started out on a quiet boardwalk in Sydney, Australia. It seemed as if everything was going along just as you would expect, but then suddenly, somebody showed up and started dancing. Anybody who was looking on at this time was probably wondering why they were doing it but before long, they weren’t alone. One by one, more people started to join in on the fun and it was incredible to watch. By the time it is over, people are pulling out their phones and recording an event that would go down in Internet history.
It doesn’t take long before people start to realize that this is a very choreographed and well thought out event. Interestingly, there were some people in the background who were jogging and getting other forms of exercise and they seem to ignore the fact that there was such an amazing event taking place right in front of them! It’s almost as if it is something that happens in Sydney every day. In the end, we get to enjoy one of the most epic uptown Funk flash mobs that was posted as part of a marketing scheme by a domain company. Enjoy the moment in the following video:
