Actress Lori Loughlin Is Said Not To Be Adjusting Well To Life In Prison

If you’ve followed the cast of Full House star Lori Loughlin and her husband Mossimo Giannulli (a famous fashion designer), then you know the couple recently pled guilty to charges connected to a massive college admissions scandal. The couple admitted to the court that they tried to pay a bribe of $500,000 to get their daughters, Isabella Rose and Olivia Jade, entry into the University of Southern California. Months after their trials, a judge sentenced Loughlin to serve two months in jail. But, while two months seems like a pretty short amount of time, there are reports that the actress is not fairing well behind bars. On October 30, she began serving her sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution located in Dublin, California.

But only six days later, there are reports that Loughlin is struggling to make the adaptation from celebrity to an inmate.

“Lori really went into prison strong — she had her faith and the support of her family — but the first few days and road ahead are daunting,” a source close to Lori shared with Us Weekly.

According to another source, Laughlin has been “a wreck” during the days leading up to reporting to serve her prison sentence. The source said the actress “tried her best to be brave and look at the end result but there was nothing that could dissipate her fears. It’s only two months but she’s dreading it. Her mind keeps telling her that something will go horribly wrong in prison or that her stay could be prolonged.”

This had not been the first time the Full House star displayed emotion during the case; it was reported that she had broken into tears during a virtual hearing held in August.

On top of her jail sentence, Loughlin was also fined $150,000 and must serve two years of supervised release along with completing 100 hours of community service.

Meanwhile, her husband was sentenced to serve five months in prison, pay a $250,000 fine, complete two years of supervised release, and 250 hours of community service.

And Loughlan may be facing bleak employment prospects after her release as the Hallmark channel decided to cut all ties with the actress, who had starred in several movies on the channel.

“While I wish I could go back and do things differently, I can only take responsibility and move forward. I have great faith in God and I believe in redemption and I will do everything in my power to redeem myself and use this experience as a catalyst to do good and give back for the rest of my life,” Lori stated at her hearing.
