There are many things to love about music but perhaps one that we will appreciate more than any other is the fact that it is such a diverse way to enjoy life. After all, you can choose from so many different styles of music and each of them is going to have its own place that will help to make you feel exactly the way you want to feel. It includes multiple genres, from country and western to jazz to heavy-metal. Not all of them are going to be your favorites but there are certainly going to be songs from many different genres that you can appreciate. The same is also true of singers, and some singers have such a unique style that you can’t help but take notice.
One of those singers who had the ability to entertain us with her voice and her singing style was Amy Winehouse. It doesn’t matter if she is your favorite singer or not, you can’t help but recognize the talent that this woman had when you hear her singing. She had an amazing talent, regardless of whether she was on the stage or in the studio and that is evident when you hear this video, where she is singing a live, acoustic version of “You Know I’m No Good”. As the guitar plays away and she sings alongside it, it has the ability to take you to a different place. Not every singer has that unique talent, but her voice was just so mellow and beautiful that you can’t help but fall in love with it.
One thing that we loved about Amy Winehouse is the fact that her voice was perfectly suited for the style of music that she would sing. It isn’t just about standing up and singing a song, it’s about matching your voice and your talent with the gift of entertainment you are trying to provide.
This video is a look back at Amy Winehouse and the special gift that she had of performing expressive music. It’s unfortunate that she died so young, but she still left behind a legacy of beautiful music.
