It’s always sad when we lose someone that we care about. It can be a loving family member or an acquaintance, but regardless, it is a difficult thing to wrap our heads around at times.
Nobody knows this better than John Easterling. He recently lost his wife, Olivia Newton-John, when she died from breast cancer. It was a moment in his life that undoubtedly affected him very deeply. It also affected us deeply as well.
We all have our own feelings about Olivia Newton-John, particularly those of us who remember the days when she was acting and was on top of the world. It’s sad to think that somebody so loved has passed away, but for Easterling, she was on top of the world her entire life.
He went on his late wife’s Instagram page to post a tribute to her. He wanted to talk about the love that he felt for her and how deeply he missed her.
He said: “Olivia, our love for each other transcends our understanding. Every day we expressed our gratitude for this love that could be so deep, so real, so natural. We never had to ‘work’ on it. We were in awe of this great mystery and accepted the experience of our love as past, present and forever.”
“At Olivia’s deepest essence she was a healer using her mediums of song, of words, of touch. She was the most courageous woman I’ve ever known. Her bandwidth for genuinely caring for people, for nature and all creatures almost eclipses what is humanely possible. It is only the grace of God that has allowed me to share the depth and passion of her being for so long. In her most difficult times she always had the spirit, the humor, and the willpower to move things into the light.”
“Even now as her soul soars, the pain and holes in my heart are healed with the joy of her love and the light that shines forward. Our family deeply appreciates the vast ocean of love and support that has come our way. Onward Ho John Easterling”
According to PEOPLE, Easterling was there for Olivia Newton-John throughout her battle with cancer. She spoke about him as a natural health advocate, who hands for herbs in the morning and makes sure she has green algae drink.
She also used medicinal cannabis as well. She said: “He (Easterling) grows the plants and makes them into liquid for me. I take drops maybe four to five times a day.”
We will all miss this wonderful woman in our own way.
