It doesn’t matter who we are, we are going to have experiences in life that we can learn from and share. At times, we might even accomplish something great. It doesn’t matter if it is raising a family successfully, having a carer, making a discovery or perhaps even inventing something used by millions of people, we all have an impact on ourselves and, at times, on the world around us. Though it all, we write our own story but it is unlikely that anyone is going to read it. That isn’t true of everyone.
There are a select few individuals that have made such an impact on the world around them that their story needs to be told to the masses. That is the case with the story of Barack Obama, the former President of the United States. In fact, his story is so interesting that it is being shared with the masses in a biopic and he even had some say in who would be playing his part. As it turns out, it was a rapper, ‘Drake’ that first had the plans on playing the part when he gave an interview almost a decade ago to ‘Paper’. He said: “I hope somebody makes a movie about Obamaโs life soon because I could play him.”

He went on to say that he could do impressions and could easily learn how to speak like Obama if he was given the part. It was in a different interview with Speedy Morman (360) in which he asked Obama how he felt about Drake playing the part. It seems that the former POTUS was not against it, saying: “I will say this – Drake seems to be able to do anything he wants. If the time comes, and heโs readyโฆ Drake has, more importantly, my household’s stamp of approval. I suspect [my daughters] Malia and Sasha would be just fine with it.”

There were also plenty of people who agreed with the possibility on social media. Then again, there were plenty who were against the idea. In the end, it really isn’t up to the popular vote. Obama said that he loves rap music, as well as R&B. It might seem strange at first glance but in the end, it just might work.
