What type of Christmas traditions do you have in your home? Do you put up the lights at the same time every year, perhaps even adding to the lights on a yearly basis? Some people go to pick out their Christmas tree every year on the same day and they make it a family tradition that continues to stick, long after the kids are out of the house. You might even find that some of the Christmas Day traditions continue to be followed year after year, regardless of whether it is choosing the first person to open a gift or perhaps where you hang the Christmas stockings.
Another tradition that is undeniable about Christmas is the music. It seems as if the Christmas songs start playing sometime in the early autumn and they continue to play until after the new year. One thing about Christmas music is the fact that people either love them or hate them, but there is no denying the fact that the Christmas classics continue to get stuck in our head, year after year. There is a new Christmas song on the horizon, ‘You Make It Feel like Christmas’. It will make you feel nostalgic and it is certain to be a Christmas classic.
“I want to thank the storm that brought the snow (uh uh)
Thanks to the string of lights that make it glow (uh)
But I wanna thank you, baby
You make it feel like Christmas”
“Sweet gingerbread made with molasses
My heart skipped and I reacted
Can’t believe that this is happening
Like a present sent from God
Sleigh bells singing hallelujah
Stars are shining on us, too
I wanna thank you, baby
You make it feel like Christmas”
With this new Christmas song, it isn’t only the music, it’s also the video. It seems as if they add just the right amount of humor in the mix to make it a classic as well. The two voices blend perfectly together, with Shelton even saying: “I sent Gwen a couple of lines of the song. She took it and made the song what it is. I just sent her an idea. She tries to say that I co-wrote it, but I just sang on it.”
Looks like we have another song to get stuck in our head. You can see the video and hear the song for yourself below:
