There are some singers that just seem to have a universal appeal. Of course, we all realize that there are going to be varying opinions and not everybody is going to have the same love of any given singer, but that being said, the talent that they have is unmistakably present. One of those singers that seems to have that universal appeal is Adele. Some people absolutely love her and she has millions of fans who would do anything to see her in concert and hear her music as often as possible. Other people don’t necessarily find her music to be their cup of tea but that doesn’t mean they don’t appreciate the talent she has at her disposal.
One thing that happens when a person has a lot of talent is the fact that there are others who will honor them by copying their work. It isn’t done in a malicious way but rather, it is a copy that is meant to show the appreciation for the music they provide. That is why many people have copied Adele’s work, including some that were almost as good as the original (not quite, though). Hannah Barrette is one of those performers, who sang one of Adele’s songs, ‘Skyfall’ during week three of the X Factor back in 2013. As I said, there is never going to be somebody who comes close to the original but Hannah did an awesome job with her performance. It just was something that needed to be heard in order to truly appreciate it.
The X Factor is one of those talent shows that really helps to showcase the fact that there are many people with extraordinary talent who live rather ordinary lives. They may have tried to pursue fame in the past, but it is the show that helps them to have their five minutes of fame and sometimes, even more.
One thing that Hannah did when she was on this show was to prove to the world that she had something to offer. She did a phenomenal job and one that I’m sure even Adele would appreciate. Watch it for yourself below.
