There have been many songs over the years that have inspired us and have made us sing along, each and every time we hear them. They just have such a classic appeal that it seems as if they are never going to go away and we hope that they never do. At times, it may be a one hit wonder that performs the songs and introduces them to the world. At other times, it may be a band that really takes things to the next level when they are performing. That is the case with Heart, and they are a rock band that truly stands on their own. In fact, aside from Joan Jett in the Blackhearts and a few others, they are one of the only rock bands that includes female vocals.
Many of us are familiar with some of the old classics by heart, such as Barracuda. The awesome sound of the driving guitar is what really made that song great but they also have a number of other songs that came along, including this one, “Alone”. It is a song that I think most of us could sing by heart and I think that we may have even sung along with it on more occasions than we can count. It’s interesting to hear them performing the song in front of an audience yet again, but they aren’t alone in doing it. They’re at the Royal Albert Hall in 2016 and they are being backed up by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. It’s absolutely incredible to hear that classic sound in the back of such a classic song.
Heart has been around for quite some time and they still have a surprise or two up their sleeve. They were on hand to honor Led Zeppelin by singing “Stairway to Heaven”, and this song from just a few years ago was an awesome performance.
There have been some rock bands that come and go but Heart seems to be around for the long term. As long as they are able to sing and play their instruments, I’m sure that they will pull in the crowds with each and every concert.
