There are many actors to follow in Hollywood but one that seems to have the attention of many fans is Jason Momoa. One of his more notable roles is that of Aquaman and he is also known for his unique way of taking pictures with his fans. You will often see him on the red carpet with his wife Lilakoi Moon, who is also an actor. They also have two children, Lola Iolani, and Nakoa-Wolf.
Recently, Momoa was seen in a video doing something that you may never have seen him doing before. He was with a fellow cast member, Temuera Morrison and they were performing a traditional Haka, with Jason taking the lead. His children were also taking part in the event.
Twitter was overly excited with the video:
His kids are in there and I can’t help but think about how much of a proud papa bear he must be right now ?

The Maori people were happy with the respect that he showed when asking to do a haka:
Regardless of your personal opinion on this is – Jason Momoa brought our culture to the world today. You can not strip this man of this moment, nor can you deny our people the significance of this moment.
This is beautiful. I’m one proud Māori and Poly brother right now. ❤️✊? https://t.co/IaaDTg85GH

Jason Momoa and his team went about constructing and performing their haka (“Tangaroa Ararau”) in all the right ways. They had the haka specifically written for the occasion, had the haka blessed by the elders and performed it with the upmost respect. Absolutely beautiful. ❤️✊?

Everyone talking about Jason Momoa’s blue carpet haka:
1. Its called “Tangaroa Ararau” and was written for the occasion.
2. Temuera Morrison is IN the haka & in the film. He has competed in kapa haka at a national level & has been best male leader. U cant FW Matua Tem.

Absolutely! Temuera Morrison also is in Aquaman and was an important part of creating and performing the Haka – he is Māori. Momoa urged them to hire Temuera and many other Polynesian people. It was collaborative and crucial.

Momoa was first seen as Aquaman in Batman vs Superman and then he was back for the film, Justice League. We look forward to seeing what he has on the schedule next.
