When most of us were children, we use to occasionally say the poem “finders keepers, loses weepers.” We would say it because when we found something we would keep whatever it was because of that simple rule.
Although that may be true in some cases, we see that it isn’t true in every case in the amazing surveillance footage that was captured outside of a Colorado home. Jamie Carlton came home and when he checked the footage, he saw something he never would’ve expected.
There were some kids riding up his driveway and onto a sidewalk on their bikes. When they came up to his door, the automatic security system let them know that they couldn’t answer the door at the moment but the camera was recording. The system asked them to leave a message and that’s exactly what they did.
They put something down on the stoop of the home and then told the camera: “We found your wallet outside of your car, and we just thought we would give it back to you so. I’m going to put it over here so no one takes any money.”
It seems as if the kids were outside riding their bikes when they saw the wallet that he had dropped near his car. The amazing thing was, that it had $700 stuffed inside.
The kids left the wallet and the money and he was so amazed at their kindness, that he posted the security footage on Facebook. He wanted to identify them and let’s hope they get a nice reward.
