There is something interesting about watching the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. Undoubtedly, the host of that show has a lot of talent and he isn’t afraid to use it in order to entertain an audience and keep them coming back for more. In some cases, he may be interviewing the guest star and he puts their mind at ease with his humor and his personal attention to all that they have to say. Even though that may be the case with his interviews, he also will get the celebrity guest involved in some type of skit or fun activity. Not only is it enjoyable to watch, it’s also a unique way for us to learn something about the celebrity on a more personal level.
Often, Jimmy Fallon will have people with musical talents on the show and he may play a game with them that shows off those talents. In the skit that you see below, however, it isn’t somebody with musical talent, it is Shaquille O’Neal, who is an amazing basketball player. The funny thing is, he doesn’t do a skit with him that requires any type of physical activity on Shaquille O’Neal’s part, it requires him to play a musical instrument. The game is the “Random Instrument Challenge”, and they have to play a random song using a random instrument that is selected when they draw a card. It’s hilarious to watch them do it, even more so than you would expect.
Jimmy Fallon has a level of natural talent when it comes to music, but even he has a difficulty playing an instrument that he has never played before. Shaquille O’Neal seems to do quite well, as you can see.
At one point, Shaquille is even accused of cheating by Jimmy, and I think that he may have crossed the line. Then again, he is so huge, I don’t think I would push the issue. Watch the hilarious challenge for yourself in the following video.
