We all have a mission in life and sometimes, we just want to do what we can to have our needs met. We also might enjoy taking part in a variety of hobbies, regardless of whether they are getting out of the fresh air or enjoying social media.
That is where Demi Skipper comes in. She is from San Francisco and she has a hobby, one that she decided to share on TikTok. You see, she had a Bobby pin and she wanted to start trading. Her goal? She wanted to have a house when she was finished.
There were three rules that were established from the beginning. She wouldn’t use any cash, she wouldn’t trade with people she knew, and she had to find people who were interested in trading.
The first trades were relatively small, such as trading the bobby pin for some earrings. The next trades included some cocktail glasses and then, a vacuum.
It ended up taking a year and a half before she had a house and she had a lot of interesting items along the way. For example, she was able to own three vintage tractors along the way.
When she reached trade number 28, she found herself in Tennessee holding the keys to a house. She had picked up the keys at another location and drove to the house to show it in the viral video.
Admittedly, the house wasn’t a mansion but to her, I’m sure that it was everything she could possibly want. You can really see it on her face in the video.
Was it something that she was able to breeze through? No, I’m sure that it took a lot of work and dedication along the way. As you can tell, however, hard work does pay off in the end.
