Many of us look back on our time in school and remember some of the subjects that we enjoyed and some that we hated. Although there were some students who loved subjects, such as science or history, there were some subjects that seemed to either be loved or hated by most. I think that one of the subjects that fit into that category better than any other was math. For some people, learning math and the problem solving that went along with it was a real treat. For others, the need to use math in real life was elusive and those were the people who would complain the loudest when it came time to flex their math skills.
Of course, you don’t have to be a math wiz or even enjoy math to want to take part in a fun challenge. In fact, this type of challenge can really hone your skills and keep your brain sharp. It might also keep you sharp when you are older because is some indication that ‘exercising your brain’ can help you avoid alzheimers and dementia.
