Turn Your Children’s Footprints Into Adorable Painted Birds

If there is one thing that all of us are looking for at this time, it’s a way to keep the children happy. After all, if our children are happy and busy, then we will also be happy as well. In fact, you might even find that giving your children something enjoyable to do will give you just a little bit of time to sit on the couch and do nothing at all! Of course, every parent wants to join their children in doing something amazing, but it’s also nice when we can give our children something that they can do on their own.

If you are looking for a way to get crafty with your children, then you might want to check out this idea from Grandma’s Tweet Hearts. It was posted on the Crafty Morning blog, and it is perhaps one of the most enjoyable and adorable projects we have seen in quite some time. The good news is, it isn’t limited as far as age is concerned. In fact, little children, as well as teenagers, can enjoy doing it and it really starts out with having them dip their feet in paint and make a footprint on a piece of paper. From there, the imagination takes over.

“Easter Sunday crafting for Nana’s wall,” reads the caption.

These adorable children have painted their names next to each of their foot birds. They spell out “Nana’s Tweet Hearts” to show the world what they think of their grandmother.

Of course, you don’t have to stick to the letter of the law because you can get creative and use any color or style that you want. All you really have to do is to put the footprint on the paper and from there, you make it look awesome.

It doesn’t have to be birds, there can be many things that you can make out of handprints and footprints.

Why not take your child’s handprint and make it into a keychain? This can be done using the instructions on the Never Done with Fun blog.

You can also turn those footprints and the handprints into flowers. Crafty Morning has a Facebook page with the video tutorial that is just what you need.

One the autumn rolls around, why not have them create some decorative towels for the kitchen?
